We don't do the kind of job where we show up, find a spring from the 1960s snapped clean, and just replace that one spring on hardware that's otherwise shot - if the drums are grooved, the track is bent, or the cable is rusted through in more than one place, we'll tell you replacement is the better spend, not another patch. We also don't stock every obscure torsion size on the truck; on some of the older Westfield installs we may need to order a part, and we'll say so up front instead of promising a fix we can't finish same-visit. What we will do is look at the whole door - spring, cable, track, opener - before quoting anything, because on houses from this era one worn part is rarely the only worn part.
